ABOUT THE WORKSHOP:

In this workshop, we’ll create a notebook using different types of paper, including recycled paper, with the Buttonhole Stitch technique. This method doesn’t rely on adhesives and doesn’t require advanced experience, making it ideal for beginners.

ABOUT FATMA EL-KHAYAT:

Fatma El-Khayat is a multidisciplinary designer who graduated from the Graphic Design Department at the German University in Cairo (GUC) in 2021. Her passion for bookbinding began while working as a former assistant at the Bookbinding Workshop at the Faculty of Applied Arts and Sciences (FASA). Fatma now conducts bookbinding workshops, teaching participants how to work with paper and sew books using simple methods, while creating artistic and expressive spaces for them to explore the craft.
