ABOUT THE WORKSHOP:

During this workshop, we will make a notebook using the (Quarter Case Binding) technique, which is a binding technique that relies on adhesive material. The product is a notebook with a reinforced cover using fabric, and the inner paper is bound using thread and glue.

ABOUT FATMA EL-KHAYAT:

Fatma El-Khayat is a multidisciplinary designer who graduated from the Graphic Design Department at the German University in Cairo (GUC) in 2021. Her passion for bookbinding began while working as a former assistant at the Bookbinding Workshop at the Faculty of Applied Arts and Sciences (FASA). Fatma now conducts bookbinding workshops, teaching participants how to work with paper and sew books using simple methods, while creating artistic and expressive spaces for them to explore the craft.
